Shipping & delivery
All parcels are shipped from Belgium with a tracking nr – no exceptions.
How much does shipping cost?
I charge a flat rate, no matter the weight or volume of your parcel. Your shipping fee for your location will be calculated at check out. The shipping service will be handled by either DPD or Bpost.
I ship to the following countries, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary.
When will my parcel ship?
In general, Monday or Tuesday is my shipping day. So expect your order to be shipped the next Monday (decoration or jewelry) or Tuesday (larvae) following your purchase. You will receive a notification and tracking nr when it ships.
Do you ship to the USA?
I don’t ship live insects outside the EU.
However, I can ship jewelry to the USA without any problems. Just contact me for a shipping rate.
Can I pick up my parcel to save on shipping?
If you filled out a Belgian billing address at checkout, you have the option to select local pick up which will drop shipping fees. Just contact me to arrange a pick up date at my home in Antwerp.
Do you have a winter break?
Usually from November to February – with the exception of cold hardy species such as protaetia – you will not be able to purchase beetle larvae through the webshop.
This long break does not apply to jewelry and decoration and other non live items, although I will do a small break around the holiday period.
The returns policy does not apply to live beetles and beetle larvae.
Do you accept returns?
Yes. My returns policy applies to all jewelry, decoration, clothing and accessories. As stated in my terms and conditions, I try to describe and document a product to my best and most accurate ability. Should something however not meet your needs, it can be returned within 14 days of receipt. The buyer pays for return shipping. If an item arrives broken, please contact me asap via firstname.lastname@example.org with photo’s and we will come to a mutual agreement in terms of replacement or refund. No need to send back damaged goods unless agreed otherwise.
When do I get my money back?
Your refund or exchange will be processed when the item arrives in immaculate condition.
Why is there an exception for beetles and larvae?
Because they are live insects and putting them through the stress of shipping back and forth is a bad idea. If there is a problem with your beetle or larvae upon arrival, the best thing to do is send an e-mail to email@example.com with photo’s and explain the issue. We will then come to a mutual agreement in terms of replacement or refund.
